Where I'm From

This poem is Evan's Mother's Day gift to me.  He said I could share it with you.

Where I'm From
by Andrew Evan Crutchfield

I am from Juicy Fruit gum
From Lenny Kravitz's Fly Away
I am from ankle bracelets
Like snakes around skinny ankles
From "stop playing or the router will
Accidentally break!"

I'm from Blokus being blocked at every corner
and Andrew is troublesome
From Bob and Cheryl
And Snickers, brownies, and Reeses

I am from vegetables in soft soil
And books on the climbing shelves
I am from cookies that are shaped like brownies
From a family of fighting
We bicker and argue
I'm from a family
Not perfect, but made for each other.
